This is a great set of photos courtesy of Mike O’Donovan. Mike worked at the Three Counties Hospital form 1957 to 1973.
"The original Fairfield Hospital consisted of two main wards - Male 9 and Female 11, know as M9 and F11. In addition there were two villas on either side, separated by a few yards. The female villa no longer housed patients but was a staff house and the male villa housed a number of patients and a small number of staff. I stayed there with some of my mates."




The following two more photos show Mike and his late wife Kathleen Kelly. They met in May 1959 when she first came to England from County Roscommon.
