This is a Three Counties Station map dated 1906, with an approval stamp of 28th July 1908. The close-up clearly shows the Three Counties Asylum sidings. This track was used for carrying goods up to the asylum. The train track, with a standard gauge of 4 foot 8 inches, ran past The Lamb pub, up Asylum Road (now Hospital Road) and crossed Arlesey High Street into the asylum gates then ran approximately 1/4 mile into the asylum terminal. A man would walk in front of the small train holding and waving a red flag.
