In October 1929 the hospital hired 4 films from the Portsmouth Film Service at a cost of £5, 4 shillings and 2 pence. Tuning of the hospital pianos for 1 year cost £8, 14 shillings. 30 hundredweight of fruit jam was £45, 17 shillings and 6 pence. 2 dairy cows cost £65.00. 5 tons of moist sugar was £84, and £49 was paid to the First Garden City Electric Co.
